On a related note, 918 Spyder (hmm, I like that name...
) did Nordschleife in 6:57. That's the fastest time for any production car. Ever. Shattering previous record by 15 sec.http://press.porsche.com/news/release.php?id=812
BTW, McLaren P1 did it in 7:04 - a time they won't officially acknowledge since they had promised "under 7 minutes".
