- Sechsgang - 03-07-2007 How many of you guys run an in-car when you are DEing? Do you use a standard camera or something that is more motorsports/impact sports specific? - Tony356993 - 03-07-2007 Sony Mini DV. Cheap and portable. Takes nice family videos also.
- Wellardmac - 03-07-2007 ...just make sure that you have a good camera mount. - jakp993 - 03-07-2007 Anyone combining video with data acquisition? I have a Traqmate and you can use TrackVision to cobine it with video. Are there systems that work better than others? I would love to do this for the classroom sessions. OK - I know - I'm a geek - but I think it would be cool ![]() Take care, Jack - Sechsgang - 03-07-2007 check on the sturdy camera mount... the DAS with Vid interplay could be really cool... - Brian Minkin - 03-07-2007 I use this mount on the rollbar with a Panasonic Mini DV camera. http://www.ioportracing.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=CM&Category_Code=CM - Tony356993 - 03-07-2007 I use the same mount. - smankow - 03-07-2007 +1 on the I/O Port mount. I use a JVC mini DV camera (Sam's Club special). I'd make sure that the camera has the wide angle lens - I think it's a 16 x 9 lens. It provides a better view out the front window. The only negatives are wind noise. Steve - Brian Minkin - 03-07-2007 Steve, Just get a louder exhaust..then wind noise is not a problem. ![]() - Tony356993 - 03-07-2007 try some Phazyme for the wind noise.http://www.phazyme.com/ |
