Motels near Pocono - Phokaioglaukos - 04-29-2014

What do you recommend? It's been a long time since I have been to Pocono....

Chris, anywhere BUT Split Rock. That place has gone downhill fast. All the rest are about the same.

Hey Chris M.,
In the 10 years I've been doing DE, I don't remember ever seeing you drive at the track although I've heard it is true, you have been to a track or two at some point in your early days. So, can we get you out to a track event at any time in the near future driving something with 4 wheels?
Marty

Marty, with my old classic, I would have to drop back to the Blue group, LOL!

No problem with blue uninstructed!

No about a GOOD motel to stay at?

there has to be some place with a champagne glass tub and a heart-shaped bed...

Despite all the really helpful suggestions on this thread, I booked a room at The Village at Pocono with the 10% PCA discount. The Blakeslee Inn appears to be fully booked.

The Blakeslee Inn is where I would go, if available.
Close and a nice dinner.

:-)

The Village at Pocono is owned by the people who own the track and the Blakeslee Inn. As a matter of fact, there are usually discount coupons in the room for dinner at the Blakeslee Inn.

It is clean, comfortable, a little spartan on decor and right across the street from the track. Much better than the trackside suites at NJMP, for example.

I used to stay here with a few friends. It is right on the Lake, is comfy, has room for a few small trailers so you can arrive the night before the event, the owner, Margaret, is great, and you can walk to several bars/eateries, but watch out for the bears.
