Terry Lefco - Nice job in Pano - ccm911 - 05-22-2014
I was reading the new Pano on the train yesterday, and came upon a letter written by none other than our own Terry Lefco. At first I wanted to scream at him, but in the end, he not only redeemed himself, but he actually has earned my undying respect. If Porsche wants to do away with Manual Transmissions, than they can do away with my future dollars should I ever find myself in a position to purchase a new model.

Hey Chris - I'm with you to a degree, but have you driven a newer 911 with PDK? My guess is no. I'd be interested to see what you think after that experience, so let us know for sure if you get the chance.

I, too, read Terry's letter and texted him that I agreed with him. There are many who want manual gearboxes, and I'm happy with an H-pattern in my track car, but for the street I NEED a car that will shift itself and PDK is clearly the best at that.

forget the club...a manual transmission is an anti-theft device today
Sure there are times I wish for an automatic...mostly while sitting on 76 watching people scratch themselves but the feeling I get from shifting gears makes it all worthwhile.
