- Larry Herman - 04-11-2007 Here's a little clip of a save that I made in turn 1 in the Enduro at Road Atlanta. I have watched it several times, and I still am not exactly sure what I did with my hands, or how I turned the wheel that fast. All I can say is that I was ahead of the car, and caught the slide the instant I felt it go. For all of you novices out there, that is why you need to learn car control. Get lots of time on a skid pad or autocrossing, because your brain subconsciously has to figure out the dynamics of what to do to stop the car from sliding. Lots of DEs do not necessarily teach you this. - smankow - 04-11-2007 Larry, the link isn't working - Tony356993 - 04-11-2007 right click - save as - bobt993 - 04-11-2007 If you slow it down even more, you see a little man come out from under the dash and start turning the wheel for you.. Oh and the audio says " Paul is Dead". It's one thing to make a quick correction, but to actually get your left arm over for more counter-steering was pretty damn quick. I don't think you could think to do that one. It had to be subconscious. Nice save. - TwentySix - 04-11-2007 The fast hands of an autocrosser :dude: Nice save - sms - 04-12-2007 Wow, unbelievablly fast handwork. Something for everyone (well, certainly me!) to learn from that video....especially in slow mo. great save. |
