- Phokaioglaukos - 04-12-2007 Who in the area sells gloves, driving suits, shoes and the like, all appropriately fire retardant? In particular, I have a hard time finding gloves that fit well, so mail order is not the most convenient. - TwentySix - 04-12-2007 Just found out about these guys: A-1 RACING PRODUCTS INC. 1927-2 STOUT DRIVE WARMINSTER, PA 18974 http://www.a1racing.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=33 No affiliation, ymmv, yadda, yadda..... - Tony356993 - 04-12-2007 Chris, Dougherty's has Alpine Star gloves I think. I picked up a pair @ VIR and I really like them. - JIMK - 04-13-2007 Ok who sells Toyo proxies RA1 locally? Yokohama doesn't make my beloved A032 anymore so I'm looking for a new favorite tire. Rims are 7x15 (4) and 7 x 16 (4) - Phokaioglaukos - 04-13-2007 Hey, get off my thread! That's not racewear.:X To answer your question, though, locally you can get RA-1s at CJ Tires. Their Birdsboro warehouse stocks that tire, or at least they did last year. I had to get my last tires from Bob Vilven, though, when CJ's stock went low. My next tires will be Nitto NT-01 from Discount Tire online. - Wally - 04-13-2007 JIMK wrote: Quote:Ok who sells Toyo proxies RA1 locally? Hi Jim, Contact Joe Spect at CJ's at 866.208.6551. Tell him you are from Riesentoter. - LouZ - 04-13-2007 Phokaioglaukos wrote: Quote:Hey, get off my thread! I know they have sponsored some of our events, and I know the shop in Collegeville knows how to balance wheels properly, but I went to the one in Phoenixville 2 weeks ago, and they were putting rim weights on my Acura race wheels. I explained to them "no" but they still didn't get the balance right, I had to get them re-balanced at the track. I think the other locations may be fine, it may be just this one location that doesn't know how to do them. - JIMK - 04-13-2007 Hey, get off my thread! That's not racewear.:X Chris you are TOOOO gracious! What do you really think? Wally: Thanks for seconding the CJ's advice I'll call in the morning and remember to mention the RTR connection. Tires ARE raceware - The Michelin Man will disagree with you! Lou I am 100% behind you on that one! Darren, seeing your note, I guess I'll go with the 16's since the 15 are more "balance challenged".
