- ccm911 - 01-18-2007 The "Auto Zone Cheapie" has the terminals in the right place. - Brian Minkin - 01-18-2007 Deka makes a complete line of Gell and Glass Mat batteries as an alternative to Optima. - smankow - 03-09-2007 Chris K., good call on the Diehard. After WAYYYYYY too much time spent on getting a battery, I was all set to get the Deka glass mat battery (similar to Optima gel) except they have the same issue as the Optima - no easy, simple way to secure it to the car. I even was going to get the regular Deka, but the mfg. sent the wrong batteries to the store. So, I went with the Diehard International (48 series). It mounts right onto the existing battery tray (one spot in from the OEM) and comes with a vent attachment. The installation took very little time, no additional expense to install the battery and no fabrication. I would have done this weeks ago, but I figured why bother - the weather sucked and I couldn't drive the car anyway. Now, let's hope for decent weather this weekend so I can finally drive my car. - APXD 30 - 03-09-2007 The docs have released Steve to shift again. Congrats! - Wellardmac - 03-09-2007 I've a feeling a number of cars will be back on the road this weekend (mine included!) - smankow - 03-09-2007 the difference is that I was not medically allowed to drive my car - Brian Minkin - 03-09-2007 smankow wrote: Quote:the difference is that I was not medically allowed to drive my carIf he doctors knew how you drive I think you would still be medically not allowed to drive your car.
