That is outstanding news!!

I would not count on this one opening in 2009 as projected.  The appeals process will probably run out about 10 years before a conclusion is reached.

Over on the BMW list I read:

Monday, I heard from an acquaintance that Liberty Bell is a go.

Interestingly, the township had three land plans to choose from, see below

“Through a company, Ethan Michael, Inc. (EMI), Louis Mascaro owns six contiguous parcels of land, consisting of approximately 668 acres in Union Township on which he seeks to develop a motor sports park and campground, or , in the alternative, either a residential subdivision, comprising of 388 single family homes on one-acre lots, or a commercial piggery.?

What in the world is a "Commercial Piggery"?

Something designed to make a loud motorsports "park" with lunatic gearheads running around more attractive by comparison.

i live out here in the sticks;  they have a commercial piggery about 20 miles from me.  it is a HUGE barn complex (similiar to a warehouse) with 'total confinement' stalls for the pigs.  they basically are in a small slot, where they are fed, and they can poo and it is washed away frequently thru big grates in the floors.  they keep the temp constant in the barns, and use disinfectants/etc to keep diseases at bay.  the little oinkers are born, stalled, grow to maturity, and are shipped off to slaughter.

back to racing!
