Here's a video shot during Potomac's Glen event (6/29).  There's around 40 cars in white and many would struggle in our Blue group.  It's a little tough to get some clear track at times.

the black 911 that I follow for a while is Josh Smith (another RTR guy).  We make our way through a lot of traffic.  I don't know if all of the corner workers have a blue flag in their bag.

I just got two rooms at the Glen Motor in which is 1 mile north of town and 6.5 to the track.  They are 125 w/ balcony overlooking the lake (fireworks Saturday night) and 110 w/o balcony

I want to see your second run on Sunday!!!

Hey the guy in the Cayman wasn't giving you and Josh a passing sign, he doesn't give passing signs.  You two should have known that.  He had picked his nose and was trying to get his snot off of his fingerBig Grin

I downloaded it last night and I think it's now on Google.  I'll try to post it when I get home.

Smile Nice and smooth like always, Steve.  What group was that in?  The black targa was a little off the qualifying line.

both videos were taken while in their white group.  Many of the drivers didn't have much experience there, as evidenced by brake lights before T2 and T5 along with many different lines.  I had a bit more open track in their black group along with better passing signals (early enough so neither lost momentum).

Steve seems to have missed a lot of the excitement. Here is a thread and some videos that should not be missed: http://www.dorkiphus.net/porsche/showthread.php?t=14210

from his videos:

#1 - the instructor was driving a 997S Cab and she was hauling around the track and very aggressive.  The filmer was driving a 997 GT3

#2 - that was pretty typical of some of the drivers there.  They didn't have much experience and it showed.  It also didn't help that for the white group, Potomac didn't allow passing T1-T2, T5-T6 and T8-T9.  That was probably why the 996 GT3 wanted to take that pass.  The guy in the purple car was all over the track.

#3 - that was on his first hot lap of day 3.  I saw the cloud of dust going into the bus stop.  The car was ok - just a little scaping across the whole rear bumper.  He went right back out and finished the session and the day.

His buddy filming #2 & #3 could really get his car around the track, as could the grey 997 GT3.  With his DAS, the footage of the spin was being viewed right after the session.  If records onto a SD card.
