I have to say, I think AutoX gets a bit of a hard time from RTR as I really, really, really enjoyed yesterdays event - Many Thanks to all of the organisers and those who helped out. As someone who doesn't take their car to the track, RTR's autoX events are the most important part of the club for me so (i) lets have a few more next year and (ii) I'm willing to help out to make it happen

In the meantime........ WellardMac & I had such a good time yesterday, we're planning to go to an SCAA autoX on Sunday 8th Oct at the Boeing Heli Plant  - if anyone else would like to join us, you'd be very welcome as the more the merrier!

Do we have to pre-register for these things, or can we register on the day?

I'm also willing to help out with AX next year.. providing I don't bugger up my clutch by driving as badly as I did on my first run yesterday.

Pre-register before 05-OCT

Wow - a response a whole 2 mins after posting... ahh, the joys of having computers all over the house. Wink

You can register at the site on the day of the event if you want to.

I would consider doing this however, I am new the the PCA and a first time porsche owner (June 2006).  I was driving past the Valley fordge convention center and saw the autocrosss setting up on Sunday and decided to stop over and watch.  The event looked like a lot of fun and it is something i would like to get involved with.  How often do these events take place?  What is needed to take part in these events?  Where is a local place to purchase a helmet, I live in King of Prussia?  Also has anyone taking part in the driver's ed event or track events?  I would also like to begin getting involved with some other events as well.  Thank you in advance for your feedback!!!

Jeff
