Hello group,

I am a 1st time Porsche owner (please see my 1st post in Off-Topic/Introductions) and I would like to purchase an Extended Warranty for my 2001 Boxster S.  I've done some research, read several general web articles on extended warranties, but would like to hear from PCA members what has and has not worked for them.

I've called 2 of the local Porsche dealers to see what they use for extended warranty companies - they both differ - and to get a price quote.  I've also received some information from a few online direct warranty companies.  Again, I've researched their BBB status, company history, complaint records, etc.

What do people use here?  What have your experiences been?  What do you recommend?  What things should I be looking for that are Boxster specific issues that I could expect in the next several years?

Thank you,

-Greg D

I have an Autosource Platinum Component warrenty.

Thankfully, I've not had to use it yet. They're not very goood at pointing out thaqt they only cover components named in the policy, but they do a good job of covering all the expensive 'catastrophic' events thaqt might happen.
