- fasthonda - 07-31-2007 hi guys! the Probe and i did well this weekend! there were alot of PTE'ers, too; all told, 4 SE-Rs, a VW Golf, me, and an Acura Integra. plus about 40 more other small bore cars in the heat!!! i qualified 3rd on sat, and i finished 2nd on Sat behind #67, SE-R of Scott Willard - it was a good race, from the very start to the very end; i had him at one point on the short back straight, when we went three abreast, but i gave it back due to a waving yellow caused by a car going off at the turn onto the crossover: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7971253873750107449&hl=en Sunday's race i had the PTE pole by less than a tenth, but i had a very good start (had to help that little black CRX a bit so that i could clear the #67 SE-R car directly on my left!!!!) and held the lead all the way to the checkered flag; at one point, #67 was right behind me, and tried to outbrake me into T1 (he has the Wilwood big brake kit on his SE-R); game over! he couldn't go in as deeply as i could, and he went off track to the outside; and i never saw him again! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3165915730179669864&hl=en i've got to say -- Scott has that SE-R really moving; i couldn't gain an inch on the straights!!!! super super fast, well prepped out racecar!!!! Darren Mingis was there racing in PTE too! his Acura was running well; looks as if it is getting sorted out! at one point, i believe he was running 3rd or 4th in PTE!!! todd driver of the #11 ReidSpeed PTE Ford Probe GT PS looking forward to seeing all of you guys at the Glen! i should have the honda up there, so at least i have a chance of not being a moving roadblock in the Red Group! ![]() |
