F.Y.I. -
I went down to Summit Point in late October. Coming home, I hit a MASSIVE construction traffic jam Sunday night on Interstate 78. I was at a standstill or crawl for an hour on a 6 mile stretch of I-78 in the vicinity of Cabella's.
So, I did a dry run this morning to see if I could find a detour to avoid the traffic and there is one:
I-78 Westbound going to Summit:
Get off at Exit 35 Lenhartsville and follow the "red" detour signs to get back on I-78.
I-78 Eastbound back to the Lehigh Valley and points East:
Get off at Shartlesville exit and follow the "blue" detour signs to get back on I-78 at exit 35.

Exactly, it's called Old Route 22. Not a bad detour actually! Good luck getting down here.
