The members I know from Potomac are very nice people. They put on a great event (as long as my car is working; blew a gasket at one event, spun a rod bearing at another), and go to tracks such as VIR and Mid Ohio. No work assignments!

2008 PCA Potomac Track Season Announced!!!
2008 will be an excellent track season for Potomac! Our 2008 schedule provides many opportunities for PCA drivers to improve their skills and enjoy the company of friends at the track, including an Instructor Clinic, two High Performance Driving Clinics (HPDCs), our Club Race at Summit Point, and a DE schedule that includes eight DE events. All Potomac track events are on weekends and the schedule includes a total of seven 3-day weekend dates! We will again be driving Summit Point Circuit, Shenandoah Circuit, Mid Ohio, Watkins Glen, and VIR!

Please note that these track dates are considered firm, but are subject to change. Here is a summary of the highlights and changes in the schedule from recent seasons.
- Potomac’s first DE event better accommodates the change to the Zone 2 VIR event date. Rather than going to Summit Point in early March, we’ll be going in mid April! Thanks to Summit Point for helping us move!

- Potomac has two Saturday HPDCs scheduled. The spring HPDC is earlier than usual to account for the new April DE date, and we’ve retained a second HPDC in September. HPDC can be the single best day you’ll have in your car, with emphasis on awareness and car control in a safely controlled environment and with an instructor in the car. HPDC also qualifies you to drive in Potomac DE events.

- Our annual trek to Mid Ohio is now a week later; the second weekend of May. Our thanks to Northern Ohio Region PCA who swapped dates with us to allow better event spacing and warmer weather!

- Our August DE event at Summit Point is again scheduled for a three days. We’re again planning a Porsche Fest Gala with multiple events, including Rally, Concours, Social and an Autocross in nearby Winchester.

- The three-day Club Race format that included an Enduro has been extremely well received. We have again scheduled three days for the Potomac Club Race in 2008.

- Lastly, we’ll be running an invitational Instructor/Advanced driving day on the Friday of our last SP event! SPR has long been Potomac’s home track, and we’re proud to wrap up our season at home![/*]

They do put on nice events but the schedule does not work for me this year.
