I run NT01's on my 91 S2.  They were lightly used when I got them and have lasted four events and still have plenty of rubber.  I'm looking for another pair as backups for next season when my current set run out.

I will look at the NT05's to see if they are good for my situation.  I do ride to the track in my car.  An option saves the extra work of having to change out at the track.

Kevin,

What size do you use on your car?

I run the NT 01s on my 964 and I am very happy except they are ridiculously noisy.

My NT01's do have extra road noise at low speed.  I can't hear them when I'm blazing around in my 208 HP 944.  Speed baby!!!  I offered to sell sign space on my car to Nick Benz for Dogfish Head beer but he hasn't taken me up on it yet.  Imagine all the exposure time as the 911's pass me over and over...

Glen,

I'm interested in your comment on MPSC wear experience.  When you refer to 50 heat cycles, is that 1 session = 1 heat cycle?  And any idea of overall mileage on the tires?  Maybe that's irrelevant in your situation, because heat cycles, rather than mileage, apparently were the limiting factor, but I'm curious how many miles one might get expect from the MPSCs, e.g., if (though it would be a shame), the DE usage was months apart, and they were used as street tires, with lots of mileage between DE events.

Thanks,

Larry

Larry,

I ran MPSC on the street this past year and they do not wear quickly on the street. I only put about 2000 miles on them and they where used when I got them (8 heat cycles). Driving the car when the tires are cold was challenging to keep the back end planted (roatated easily) and in heavy rain the car was barely drivable with them on. Traveling down 476 in heavy rain it was difficult to keep the car in one lane and braking was also an experience.
