French Creek Outfitters is my range of choice.  $12 per hour.  I generally shoot the Glock and my .22 there.

Now French Creek State Park has an outdoor range.  It's a pain because there are no automatic target returns, but if I need to shotgun or play with the Carcano, it is the only place to go.

The catch with French Creek State Park is that the only pistol targets are pretty far out (25 yards?) and there are only a couple of them. I wish they would reopen Nockamixon. Still, that might be a fun meet and shoot.

This Sunday morning we'll be at Classic Pistol so my younger daughter can play with her birthday present.

Glad to see you are raising the kids right!  Gun safety at an early age is just so important.  Plus, it will add to her maturation process.

I used to think 25 yards was close as well.

Back in the days of shooting PPC events we would simply subtract the number of "9's" from 480 for our score. If you ever dropped one into the 8's you bought beer that night.

No way is that too close. With a Glock 26 Carry Model, I am lucky to even hit paper from that distance. Yet when I shoot ten yards at French Creek indoor, the target looks like swiss cheese, as I hope any criminals in my home will look after breaking in. Big Grin

And by the way, Wally, can you even load a clip with those big Polish paws?

It's not a clip... it's a magazine.....

Don't need to change the magazine. If you do it right (and I have) you drop them before they have a chance to throw rocks at you.Tongue
