This is totally off topic, but should serve as a warning to those with small pets.
There have been Coyote and Fox sightings along the Main Line. If you have a cat or small dog, do not leave them out unattended, especially during the evening hours. I called the Upper Merion Animal Control Officer after seing what I thought was a really big fox in my back yard. He informed me that it was not a fox, but most likely a coyote. He then went on to stress that small pets are what the coyotes diet consists of.
Unfortunately, I was told that I can not shoot these animals. Although, I think I would be hailed as a hero if I were to blast away a significant portion of our deer population.
You have been warned.
