Hey Brian, I believe the slider attachment points varied throughout the years. I know in 85, it was at its tallest, almost an inch higher than other years. 84 should be the same 86-88.

I will try removing the seat cushion as a temporary fix to see if that will get me by for Watkins. I think the other options are putting the side mounts directly to the floor, taking the sliders out. Or having the seat attachment points re-welded further down in the tub. I'll swing by Dougherty's and see what they have to say.

Not a good idea. There has got to be a better way than butchering up the interior with a weld job.

I was the one who originally mounted that driver's seat, and I do remember it sitting a bit high. Better to dump the sliders and do a direct mount to the seat mounts. Hey, it is YOUR car, who cares if no one else fits. Big Grin

Christopher, want to help re mount the driver seat!?  Ideally I would like to keep the sliders since I like to seat a little further back when not driving the car aggressively at DE.  I will give Dougherty's a call and see what they think.  I'll post back and let you know.
