I am replacing the braided steel lines on my 84 911 and on the package for the new lines it says "make sure collars are swaged" ...they dont appear to be swaged when new according to the picture that comes with them....what does "swaging" do and how do i swage the lines...?

thanks

Mike,

Curiosity got me. http://www.dictionary.com says swaged means shaped, tapered, bent to fit a particular shape.

Not sure how that applies to the collars though.  Do you think they mean flared, or something along those lines?  Good luck with the install.
