Update: we are set for Saturday, December 16th, at 11 AM--see below

Please reply to this poll about whether you can commit to attending at http://www.midatlanticgrandprix.com/cms/?WELCOME_RACE_FANS. Note that you can select more than one choice in the poll. (This is not an official RTR event.)

There are 10 karts on the track at a time. This poll is for an event with 3 heats plus membership (reduced rates for later events) at a cost of $55. Each heat is 8 minutes on track with about 2 minutes for staging on and off the track. Typically one runs one heat, takes two off, and runs the next one. The 20 minute intermission is useful to catch one's breath, talk smack, get a drink and the like. For three heats you would should allow at least 1¼ hours if we have 10 drivers. If we get 20 drivers, they would schedule our heats back to back, but the time to run all three would be about 1¾ hours.

Sunday is less crowded than Saturday, but at present we could do either. What do you think? Once we get a date and time, we can take a head count and I can get us pencilled in on their schedule.

Unfortunately, I have to pass on this one Sad

I may try to bum a ride down, but won't know until it gets closer.

Just Noticed that the date is wrong for the balance of the sunday times after the 11:00 opening.  No big deal. Just do not want people to be confused.

Ooops.

I can do either day at any time really.

I cannot make it boys. After Thanksgiving, illness spreads quickly - Wink

Saturday we would be two, Sunday I would be solo.

Morning is my preference as the rest of my day will be chocked full of Christmas shopping.   Peak season for procrastinators!

I'm definitely interested! Please keep me informed as to which day and time.

Thank you!

By the way, my 16 year old son, Ryan, will also be in attendance - so, count both of us in on either day.

The track would like a head count about a week before the event. I plan to leave this poll open until Monday the 4th, and then pick the date and time that is most popular. then I will ask for all those who can make it then to post their names to this thread. If you are subscribed to this thread you will not miss that, but check back after Monday. Until then, vote away.
