If you need a mid-winter track fix you might tune this in.  The first episodes are Saturday 1/9/10 @ 4:00 and 4:30 pm.     This series is a support race for F1 and runs on most of the European and Mideast tracks.  By the time we see it, it has been highly edited and is non stop action.

Awesome --- thanks for the headsup.  Cool

Bill,
Thanks for the heads up. I just went and programmed it on the DVR and wanted to point out that, at least according to Dish Network, it's on from 3:00 to 4:00 rather than 4:00 to 4:30.

The "Porsche Cup" is 4:00 - 5:00 (two shows) on Verizon.   For those with slightly broader tastes, German and British touring car races are on earlier in the day.

I have been watching the Touring Car race series for the last last couple of months. Certainly a lot more car-to-car contact in the British version. Also, very different cars, the German series is all Mercedes and Audi while the British series seems a little more egalitarian with Chevy's, Honda's, Vauxhall's and BMW's.

They're really entertaining and since they edit the action, you get three races in an hour episode. Wonder if the Speed Channel would consider broadcasting a spec Miata or E30 race? It might generate more domestic interest than these.

Unfortunately Speed thinks Nascar talk shows are more popular.  Sad

And Barrett-Jackson/Mecum re-runs!
