- dmano - 08-27-2010 Well almost done with my track car. Hope to be out this year yet. Here are some shots of the new 650HP motor and heat extractor hood. - dmano - 08-27-2010 Engine shot - dmano - 08-27-2010 Hood - ccm911 - 08-27-2010 Very cool!!! What is the life expectancy of the engine? 650 HP is just a bit more than stock. Is this a high stress "grenade" engine, or is it tuned for longevity? - dmano - 08-27-2010 Hi Chris, Well it is actually under powered. I can turn up the boost to 15lb and make 800 if I wanted to but I won't need it. The car's weight is 2400 lbs so 650 is plenty. I have a real road race 5 speed going in also. Not an overdrive 5th but a real gear. I am only pushing 10lbs but it is after-cooled. The motor IS bullet proof. - Larry Herman - 08-28-2010 What do you stop it with? - dmano - 08-30-2010 6 piston Wilwood's with 14" front rotors and 4 piston Wilwood's with 13" rotors on the rear. |
