Story showed up in USA Today about a new law that is being proposed in Delaware, similar to one just passed in NJ. Here's the article...

I'm a fan of that! Very frustrating!

Frustrating and dangerous!  I have no data to support this claim, but I can't help but think this adds to overall road congestion.  With scarce construction dollars this type of legislation may actually be of some benefit.  Unfortunately, PA drivers are notorious for such behavior.

I typically give people a chance to move over but despite this some lady honked and glared at me a few weeks ago when I passed her on the right (not that she would bother moving over even afterward).  Guess I startled her from the AM make-up/cellphone/breakfast while driving routine....

Porsche needs to devise a cattle-prod type device to get this drivers out of the way!

When drivers keep right, I'll pass left.

One problem. When texting, people's natural tendency is to drift left. It's usually gradual, followed by a quick jerk back into their lane. It's usually noticeable from far back, but something to watch out for. Outbound cell phone calls are marked by extreme slowing while dialing, followed by extreme speeding up after connecting--drifting can go either way. I gathered this data on westbound 76 coming out of the city every day. This is followed by minor accidents marked by stopping in the highway, not pulling over, to exchange information, and virtually stopping traffic for hundreds of other cars.

I propose death by hanging for folks that talk on cell phones, text, apply makeup, or eat whilst driving.

On the way back from Hershey on Saturday, a commoner actually had the nerve to give me the finger when I had to get on him for blocking the left lane.

I was really impressed with Ohio when I went out there a few years back. Plain as day and as big as a Mack truck all up and down Rte. 70 outside of Columbus "Slower drivers MUST stay right". I had never seen that before and wished we could have that same sign here in D.C. or when I'm taking Shelly and the kids up to Allentown and I'm making excellent time only to get blocked by some idiot in the left lane with his head up his ass. I take the DE approach when this happens. If after giving them a chance to move over, I just park myself in their side view mirror until they get the message. Sooner or later they wake up. Frustrating as it may be, it's not the worst thing in life.
