I looked at the calendar and other than the tech session there doesn't appear to be anything else going on, so I thought I would post this for people looking for a fun activity to join in on.
And it's for a good cause (supporting a veteran).
Here's the e-mail I received:
-We’re giving away free gourmet tacos from Chef Nick Farina’s taco truck (Union Taco and Verdad Restaurant & Tequila Bar), along with premium t-shirts, car chargers and Motorcar Makeover branded toy Porsches.
-We’re organizing Remote Control Car Races and Corn Hole games for the kids, with free oil changes, wheel alignments and state inspections as prizes for their parents.
-A garage band will play in one of Motorcar Makeovers’ bays from noon to 4 p.m.
-We will welcome a disabled veteran, our guest of honor, around 2 p.m. and give the servicemen a restored van that Motorcar Makeovers is making “better than new”. This event will be in partnership with WMGK’s 9th Annual John DeBella Veteran’s Radiothon, which takes place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 19th at the National Constitution Center. The veteran will learn about the van donation on air during the Radiothon, and will see the vehicle and take possession of it during our event.
-At 3 p.m. we will auction off a vehicle that Motorcar Makeovers has made over. We don’t know which car we’ll auction off from our inventory yet, but we do know that we’ll start the bidding at only $500!
A few of use from Bucks County Exotics are coming over and we were hoping to have a few Porsches come for an informal car show.
