Ungo Box Removal - ccm911 - 11-13-2015

Hi:

I have an 84 3.2 and it currently has some electrical issues, as in it will not run. There is an Ungo Box installed, and I would like to remove it before doing any further testing.

Has anyone ever removed one? Where do I start? There is a reset switch in the glovebox, so I am thinking of starting there and following the wires.

Is there a better way to go than this?

Thanks.

Chris

My 81 had a Clifford alarm. It would drain the battery and I occasionally had starting problems.

I couldn't get any info from Clifford so I just tore into it last winter.

I ended up with a shocking amount of components. There were wires spliced in under the dash and behind the fuses.

I got it all out and my battery doesn't drain any more. It wasn't really hard - just tracing the wires that "didn't belong" and pulling everything out. It took me a few nights of effort.

Mine is all out as well. The biggest pain was soldering the one ignition wire back together. You were totally correct about just tracing the wires. And it took me two work sessions as well.

I feel so muich better with all that junk out of the car.
