Ken, sorry to hear about your problem.  Doughtery may have already advised this but if you have to replace a rear toe link, it might be a good time to go to adjustable links made by TRG, Tarrett and others.   Bill

On a GT3, I would stay with factory Porsche parts.  Maybe a Cup version (motorsports), but not any other change.

Why not? Maybe the 996's are different than the 997's, but the ones sold by Princeton Porsche for 997's are heavier and have adjustability for dialing in the suspension. Toe links, too. All the boards favor the changes.

I would learn to drive the car first and as my skill level improves, look towards a complete race car (cup, Koni) already built.  George you know yourself that if you put more money into your "3" it would have little or no return when you sold it.

The stock toe link has more compliance and is therefore a little more forgiving - the concern is that toe can change mid- corner. I have had both and there is not a huge difference when you make the change. If the toe link needs to be replaced anyway, I'd go with the after-market but otherwise not, at least for this year.
