I want everthing gone!

Compressor, both condensers, all the blowers, all the tubing, the storage tank for the refrigerant, all of it!

Anyone ever do this on their own?

I have the Bentley manual and it seems straight forward, however they seem to be quite adamant that the refrigerant is nasty stuff! Duly noted.

Where would be the best point initially to open the sytem to begin the removal?

Any advice (that isn't take it to a pro) would be appreciated.

Don't worry about it Mike, there's no freon left in it.  The left front tire wore through a line years ago at Summit Point and the freon leaked out in a big cloud. Confusedhock:

I now know the source of ozone depletion and subsequent global warming. Smile
