I've been noticing a strange sound coming from my car's front end after I've pulled of my garage (backing out). When I turn my wheels to the right or left there is this wierd rubbing, like a sticking sound. Almost like the tire is flat (but the tires are fine!) It goes away and doesn't happen after I drive it.

I haven't been driving it but once a week (after it rains and the road is clear).... No fluid under the car in the garage, so no leaks. I have 11K miles on the car. Could it be the power steering fluid is low? I read somewhere that Caymans have issues with the PS fluid.

I don't think I have flat spots on my tires.... could that make the noise?

Any help is appreciated!

Miss you guys!
Lainey

My Cayman does that.  I think it is an issue of the front wheels scrubbing when in reverse and it seems to be more noticable in the winter.  I've read the reports of P/S problems with Caymans and Boxters but I haven't experienced any.  Bill Boys at Possum Hollow believes maintaining fluid level is important.
