Hey everyone,

I'm moving to the Philly area soon, and I just wanted to introduce myself. I've only been a Porsche owner for 2 weeks now...an '87 carrera coupe. I've already been bitten by the bug to do some DIY adjustements/modifications, but as a newbie, I'm hesitant to take on some projects (door stay replacement, front valance bracket repair, etc.) I was just wondering if there's anyone who's willing to meet up and possibly take me through some of the work or just give me some advice? I'll provide the beverages!

I'm gonna try and make the performance clinic on the 10th, and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!

Welcome to the area aualexa2.
I won't be any help mechanically but you should also consider attending next weeks Monthly Membership Meeting at Possum Hollow Motor Sports in Phoenixville (see calendar on this site). In addition to a free meal, you'll get to meet some fellow members, see what's going on with RTR, see what Possum Hollow is about (German car mechanic business for all your Porsche needs) and hear from our guest speaker about motor oil. Also, there are a whole lot of experts in RTR and on this site and I'm sure someone will be happy to share their experiences with you.

Thanks for the welcome, Bud!

I'll definitely try and get to the meeting at Possum Hollow.

Alex,

I'm in charge of Membership for the region. If you would like to talk sometime about any of our activities or upcoming events, just give me a call. I will be at the meeting on Wed night. It's a nice shop to visit. They always have an interesting guest speaker and dinner will be provided too (the same as all of our monthly meetings). Make sure to come by and look me up.

WELCOME!

Welcome. You have a great car there. You will be overwhelmed by the numbers of folks willing to give a hand. You already did the hardest part - you ask for help. This is truly a great group of people in rtr. Ill look for you at the meetimg.

Welcome!! You are about to take an amazing ride. I've had my car for about 5 1/2 yrs and I still have the biggest smile on my face every single time I drive my car. I hope you have the same experience.
