[Sorry for the double posting; wasn't sure if this should be posted in DE or Tech, so am trying both.]

I am having a hard time finding racing tires that will fit my 1995 993 (205/50/17 front, 255/40/17 rear rear). The BFG G-Force R-1 is available in 225/45/17 for the front. Would that work?

Larry, provided that you are using stock offset wheels, the 225s should fit with no issues. They are not that much wider than stock. Most serious track guys are running 235s or 245s in the front of 993s, but it takes some work to fit them.

Larry,

I just posted a set of Michelin Pilot rears in the for sale section. Your size. Let me know if you're interested. I am happy to deliver if they will work for you.

Thanks,

Mark

Mark, Thanks.  Bought a set of the BFG G-Force R-1s for the Glen.  (Though based on the weather encountered, I needn't have rushed -- with any luck I'll get some real time on them at Lightning.)  Larry

Got it. Best of luck with the new tires and hope the weather is good for lightning.

I think 17's look best on the 993, but that's just my opinion on style. If you ever do get rid of those Cup's and go to 18's keep me in mind. I'd love to get another set eventually.
