I got Iracing over the summer to prepare for a 24 hr Chump car Race on the 4.2m West Course at VIR in August ...... and haven't used it since

To justify my outlay, I want to use I racing more ... so is anyone interested in forming an RTR Winter Series??

I have no idea how to do it yet but if we can a few people interested, I'd be happy yo (try to) set it up

Here's my thoughts:

pick one of the free 10 cars -- I would suggest ford spec racer
pick one of the free 10 tracks .... that none of us have raced at --- I would suggest starting with Laguana seca. We can stay with one track or rotate every month???
set up a private league - no idea how
30 min race twice a month from Oct to March for F1 style points
Wed at 9pm would be best for me - so I would propose 1st and 3rd wed of each month??
I can do most nights except Thursday (and would prefer not to do on Friday or over weekend so = M,T,W)

if we get agreement soon, cheaters can practice in sep and we can all start for real in Oct

Thoughts??

Steve, it should be very easy. The service has become 20-30X better than it was several years ago and it is alot more user friendly. I can remember when it was first introduced, I could not get anything to work. It's so easy now.
I would definitely be into driving in a winter league. Any of the tracks or cars would be fine but I definitely like the idea of a rotation for different tracks. It could be set up much like a real race weekend in that you have one day of practive and two days to race. Then the next week you move to another track.

Steve, I have not been on iRacing before but it looks like fun. I would give it a try if we got a group together.
