yup, right front fender is DONE, headlight smashed, front bumper probably done (well see about that one), side of door dinged from the antlers...otherwise, not too much (thats a relative bargain at that speed).

Wow, Sorry to hear so much damage.  Your not the first to connect with a deer at Summit and unfortunatly I am sure you will not be the last.  They really should do something about the deer population within the motorsport park.

whatever, its just a car and I did the right thing (or so the cornerworker told me as well as many others) by just hitting it rather than swerving and endangering others.

Ill still be at Summit in Nov and Ill be there with a cattle gaurd on the front of the car...haha

Confusedhock: There has been a known small herd of deer for years that live off to the right of the straight.  Being creatures of habit following the deer trails (thats how PENNDOT knows where to stick the yellow Rudolph signs all over the state)  they cross the front straight at some point in the day and then cross again between 2 & 3 and maybe 3 & 4.  Watch out as the rut is on for the Nov event.

I think there have been deer sitings at every event I have been to at Summit.  It's about time for a few tree stands.Tongue

Oh and deer whistles are $5.00 at Pep Boys.
