For those of you coming down from the Lehigh Valley area next month to Summit Point Nov DE allow me to suggest getting off at the Lenhartsville exit and following Old Route 22 all the way down to the Shartlesville ramp. It may save you a huge amount of time depending on how far the construction progresses over the next few weeks.

Shelly and the kids & I got lucky and avoided about 2-2 1/2 hours of stop and go traffic on Fri afternoon when we went to Allentown to visit her folks this weekend. We exited at the Shartlesville exit ramp and drove up Old Route 22 because brake lights were all I could see for miles. Coming back to Maryland this afternoon I decided to give it a go all the way on Route 78, being Sunday afternoon I figured we would be okay. We were, northbound, not so lucky. I stopped keeping track after about 10 miles. I kept looking for the black #82 993 going back up that I saw heading south Fri afternoon on Rte 83 just outside Hershey, but I never saw him to flag him to get off because traffic had basically come to a standstill. Hopefully no one on this board got screwed this afternoon.

Anyway, hopefully this will help make your trip down here a little less stressful and save you some time getting here. Look forward to seeing you in 4 weeks.
