The new RTR Goodie Store is now open and can be found here:

Nice job to all involved - this looks great!

It looks like there are some nice things in there that are going to result in a good sized shopping basket for me. Smile

Am I missing the RTR logo items? I'd like to get a RTR patch, but I'm not seeing it.

The people modelling the clothes look very professional!

Yeah, I noticed they were missing also. I'm guessing and someone can correct me here that it's a different supplier.

The online stores offers different merchandise then the Marketplatz that we run at our meetings.  It is meant to enhance our offerings but not to replace the Marketplatz. Any item in the online store has the option of being embroidered with the RTR Logo. (I have seen samples and its nice stuff.)  All the items we have traditionally sold at the meetings will still only be available at the meetings or be contacting Francine our Marketplatz proprietor.

Actually we could add the Marketplatz merchandise to the store but then we would have to become the fulfillment house for orders of those items and we are not prepared to take on that role in a volunteer organization.

If anyone orders anything I'd be interested in getting their opinion on shipping costs.

I was about to place an order, well, until I got to see the shipping charges, which in my opinion are a little excessive. I cancelled the order and will buy elsewhere. Pity, I liked the stuff, but I'm not paying inflated shipping on something I can get elsewhere.

- look like even the simplest and lightest of orders, i.e. a simple t-shirt will come in around $9 for shipping. I looked at other single items and they also came in around $9. I dread to think what it will be if you start adding in other items to the order.

Wayne,

I am not being defensive about shipping cost, but this stuff is coming from the West Coast  and that is about what it cost.  I ship stuff from Detroit every day and a single small box  (less then 1 LB) cost me $8 by UPS.  The cost does not increase incrementally as the weight goes up however.

Brian

I suspected that they might be front loading the cost for subsequent items.

The guy modeling the first three "Casual Shirts" looks like he could be a member of the "Manson Family".  Scary. Big Grin
