Hard to say without seeing and feeling it - is it on other model years?

Can you post a photo?

The most common heat resistant plastics are polyimides (although there are many others in use) and there are various brand names for it.

This black thermo-plastic is on the 07/08 911 Turbo.  The name was mentioned in training, but I can't locate it in my learning resources.

Sorry, without a little more info on what it looks like I can't really help. I don't believe Holbert's currently has a Turbo in stock, so I can't even go over and look at it on an actual car.
