I was playing with data regarding potential DE cars and tow vehicles separately, but obtained the interesting chart on the attached sheet after I combined them.  (I added my old Capri and a 917 just to see see how they compared.)  I was surprised to see a tight relationship across such a wide range of vehicles.

Sadly, the cold conclusion is that it will require a bucket-o-cash to reduce weight or increase horsepower enough to significantly affect acceleration in my RSA.  It's much cheaper to simply listen to our DE instructors.

I agree that driving skill is the most important element.  I have no doubt that a top driver, driving your old Capri, would smoke me driving my RS America on a twisty track.  He, however, would be phenomenal if he was driving my car

I am not sure I agree that the chart suggests a tight relationship.  Additionally, I don't think 0-60 is a barometer of anything with respect to DE.

Nice Car!
