I take my used oil and brake fluid to the local service station, but now I have six used brake discs--big chunks of iron. Where is a good place to take them for recycling?

Take the stuff to the metals recycling facility across from IKEA in Conshohocken off Ridge Pike.

Chris, all car dealerships have recycling bins somewhere on their lot for exactly stuff like that which they throw away and it is all paid for by the customer in the "shop charges" category of the invoice. We have several on our lot for tires, for metals, for paper & carboard, plastic. It's not intended for the local residents to use but because Bethesda is so crammed up and space is at a premium, we have to keep the bins closest to the street so that Waste Management can get to them easily. Man you should see some of the crap that has shown up there. One time someone threw away one of those old metal tube design swing sets, the techs had a field day with the saws all that morning.

Just put them out front with a sign:

"DO NOT TAKE!"

They will be gone in an hour.
