Dropped the car off at Piper Motorsports on Friday (sterling, VA).  160 miles, took me just under 3 hours.  Spent over two hours going over the car with Mitch... very nice guy and very knowledgable about cages, safety equipment, how it all applies to different racing organizations, and particularly how to approach the 993.  Should have the car back in 2 weeks.

gutted the interior to prep for the body work and for the cage installation.  I will be putting an RS carpet kit back in once everything is done.  carpet and sound deadening weighed 41 lbs.  interior panels (rear speaker shelf and other misc panels) weighed 21.5 lbs not including the door panels.  Overall, I'll be about neutral with regard to weight, as the cage is going to weigh close to 100 lbs.
