The 2009 schedule has been posted on their website.  Its interesting in that many events are listed as either Thunderbolt or Lightning on one day and the other NJMP track listed the next day.  Not being a member, I'm not sure what this means.  Maybe each day is a separate registration and event?

We will not know until their DE application comes out.  Schattenbaum has always been flexible and allowed people to register for single days at their events. But it looks like they will have a lot of NJMP events with one day on each track. For those of us that know both of the NJMP tracks well thats a good thing except for having to move the trailer from one paddock to the other.  But for a new student or someone who has not been to either of these tracks having just one day and moving to the other track is a lot to bite off.

I agree with you.  The moving around is a bit of a PITA. And, new students will not be able to "get in the groove" of the track in just one day.  I have to say, that I would prefer 2-days at the same track (IMHO), rather than moving from Lightning to Thunderbolt.... simply for weather reasons.  If it rains one day, you really can't get to enjoy the track as if it were dry.

No question that RTR takes a different approach than some other regions. The more I see DE from the right seat as well as the left seat and I see how others do it, the more I appreciate RTR.

We have a really good schedule laid out this year and I'm eager to do every event on the list!

Other than the club race weekend, there is only one weekend DE.  Wasn't the events last year mainly on weekend?  Cost issues perhaps?  Does anyone know?

I ran 2 Mon/Tues events with Schattenbaum this year 1 at Thunderbolt and 1 at Lightning.  The Club race was a weekend event(Fri/Sat/Sun) and their final event at lightning was a Sat/Sun.  So it looks like a similar mix to 2008.  However changing tracks each day is different then 2008.

Weekday track rentals are much less expensive and Shattenbaum seemed to do well filling them last year.
