Bob, makes me think of a bit of grass on Kesslchen a racer showed me where one can readily pass a car that is right on the edge of the track. Just enough space between track and guard rail and the grass has good grip.

Nicely done.

BTW -- here's someone else's video from that Sunday race -- great way to see what the visibility was like!  After the restart I totally fogged up and could hardly see an apex:

Oh!......... I think that's real funny! Big GrinBig Grin
I'd say: Don't take racing anything you can't walk away from. That threshold is different for every person.

By the way, here are a few stables where its owners wouldn't even blink if one of their cars was wrecked in a race........... I'll give you 3 guesses to find which is MY STABLE, but the first 2 don't count. Confusedhock:Confusedhock::dude:

Bob and Dan... Here's doug Depietro's video from behind you guys on the start of Saturday's race

http://vimeo.com/7398956

Looks like you were both right... From this perspective, Dan clearly didn't jump the start.  And, also clear in the video is that Dan didn't totally "claim" the inside line, leaving at least 3/4 of a car width... definitely fair game for Bob to have nosed in there (albeit very risky and perhaps overly trusting of Dan's good nature... I think if it were Darren, you two would have traded paint in a big way).

Eh....not sure on that. What I am sure about is that he was driving extremely well all weekend!

Thanks for the videos, Everyone.  It looks much less insane when I watch an entire race instead of snippets that contain only the bad stuff.  However, I still think that "Ben Hur" wheel spinners would help define one's personal space.

I appreciate Darren's point regarding car choice.  If I ever race, I think I would build something that can take a hit or two.
