During this winter our very own Jim Wirth will be building a new track car.  In race car parlance we often say that you start with a "tub".  So here is the first picture of Jim starting on what promises to be one of the hottest cars ever fielded by an RTR member.

Stay tuned for progress reports.

Jim:

Maybe the faucets would make nice paddle shifters.

Plus, if you ever run some enduros, having a drain in the seating area reduces unscheduled pit stops.

I see he's "going green" too. He's already got the electric motor installed. Based on the size of the motor it should be faster than his old car !Big Grin

Hey! that tub looks familiar.............I donated that to him. If you notice, I helped him elongate the wheelbase to make it more stable in high speed, and also so "fat boy" could fit in it without bumping his chin with the knee when pressing the clutch.

I hope Wirt is handy doing fiberglass work. Merry Christmas, Jim.

Hey Jim,
Love the PVC suspension set up! Better than JRZs?

As the Executive Curator of the James Wirth Museum and Laundromat, I secrued this picture from the archive vault located in a top secret location right off Route 309 in Montgomeryville, behind the Acura dealership.
