Hey Jack,  you should think about bringing a set of MPCS to some of the hotter track days.  I am finding R6s are great for spring races and qualifying, but they can just be fussy in the heat.  THey are also alot better than the older tires in not cording, but seem to slow down a little after 5-6 heat cycles.  Larry, Chris, and I now have G2x units, so we will be comparing mapping and data.

Yeah, I always found the MPSC's more consistent and predictable.  Not as fast in ideal conditions, but definitely more predictable thru a wider range of conditions.

That being said, the R6's were the 2nd set of tires I ran at Summit and they felt awesome compared to the trashed set.  The trashed tires were a set of old, used S03s I bought from Bruce Riem last year and had been using as my "backup" tires.  I wanted to burn them up and that's exactly what I did!  My car has never been that wicked to drive, understeer to oversteer mid corner in a nano-second.  It was a skill enhancing run group Smile

Damn Jack, I know you were running around on used up tires but I was watching the trackvision and you were no slouch out there. 1:29 not too bad for beat up rubber. I was thinking about you guys last Monday as I was sitting in on a Maybach meeting and listening to a bunch of German guys tell me the next closest Maybach dealer to me is in New Jersey and that Mercedes Benz is going from 110 Maybach dealers down to 41. They were telling me I am the only Maybach service rep from New Jersey to somewhere in South Carolina and all I could think about was wishing I was at the track.Boy I can't wait for my next track day. Thanks for putting up the educational video.
