Not really sure how that happened, maybe I ran out of talent Smile

That lot is a challenge I realize -- but that course was WAY too tight/twisty. It wasn't good for momentum cars, wasn't good for HP cars (what's that leave? gokarts?), and really didn't have much of a line -- it was just dodging cones.

It was so tight that in any kind of a drift, my tiny Acura would clobber cones with the back wheels! I'd love to see dmano try to get thru there with the El Camino!

This was my first autoX and had a great time.  I had Dennis drive my car on the second run.  As I got to know the course after the 3rd run, my 4th run was almost 20 seconds better than my first.  (btw that was one of times I didn't spin my car around).  Look forward to seeing you all again.
see you next time...

I loved your spins - sadly, I wasn't fast enough on my focussing to get good photos of them. Smile
Well 'ard: British Slang. Very Tough. Very Good.

On a lot that size with as many light poles and truck and trailers parked on it we had two choices. Layout a course with speed and sweeping turns that would give a 25 to 30 second run, or a course that was tight and technical that give 50 to 60 second runs. I believe 60 second runs was the right answer. I think everyone enjoyed themselves and learned a lot about how their car handles. We are of course still looking for that charming 5+ acre lot with no saftey issues that we can afford to rent.

Link to Results now posted on main pain page of RTR website - Enjoy!

I personally had a great time and want to thank all of the organizers and helpers esp Brian, Terry & Graham for a great day. As always when we use the Scanticon lot, the course was very tight .... but it was still great fun and you learn different things on a tight course like that compared to a fast second gear course say at Warminster .... each has pros and cons ... but both are great fun which for me is the point of doing this!

Best part of the day was meeting so many newbies who'd never been to an RTR or any other AutoX before BUT left with a huge smile on their faces.

To all of the newbies - If you enjoyed this one, why not come to the last 2 or 3 events of our 'just for fun' RTR AutoX+ Roadshow - next time, you'll be twice as fast and will have even more fun as you get to know the other members -- here's a link to the original AutoX+ Roadshow posting on the forum ---

See ya there!

It was a day of mixed emotions for me.  I privledged enough to give ride alongs for my 5 runs. the last 2 were with my father (think i might have him hooked enough to try auto cross).  He had blast.

I am torn however, my 2nd fun run was a 56.9, no cones.  F class.
