I love my RSA, but I am considering moving toward a track-only car for DE.  Does anyone track a 914 or 914/6 that I could just sit in?  I am leaning toward a 914 conversion of some sort, but I am not sure that I would fit comfortably.   I don't need to drive it.  I just want to see whether my head would touch the roof when wearing a helmet.  Thanks.

I'm not sure what the headroom in a stock 14 is like, but I can tell you it's pretty tight in the Beck version. It's all cage above and a thin layer of fiberglass on top of that. I'm 6' 2" which doesn't help the issue. The seat is mounted right to the floorpan. Of course, Josette has just the opposite issue, she can't see over the dash without raising the seat...lol.

If you'd like to stop by for a butt test, let me know.

I think the guy who owns Cargo Trailer in Lansdale has a 914. Not sure if it is a six. I think he has the car in the back.

The Guy from cargo trailer name is Paul Woglam his # is 215 855 7120. He is a great guy and will be driving with us this year. Give him a call. His 914 is a 4 cly. Pete Trempter our national DE chair has a 914-6 He is also a great guy and I'm sure you can get alot of good info from him. There is a recent kit developed for the 914 to put a wrx turbo engine in 914s if you find one with no engine. See http://www.renegadehybrids.com/
