Has the club reserved an alotment of rooms at a hotel/motel for this event?  Where do most people usually state.  Is clean, close to the track, and inexpensive too much to ask.

Aaron,

I keep staying at the Ramada on 940 right by the TP exit (about a mile maybe).  That leaves me about a 20 minute drive to the track and I pass a WAWA for breakfast & lunch provisioning.  The Ramada has a nice restaurant, indoor pool & game area.  Rooms run ~120/night.  These accommodations work for me because I usually have my son (12) as a pit crew at Pocono events.

I usually see more than one RTR contingent when I get in the night before - usually in the Porsche lot having a beverage although there is also a bar inside.

There's a Best Western at 115 & 80 about 5-10 minutes away and the Blakeslee Inn is in between the Ramada & Best Western also on 940.  I've never stayed at either so someone else may give a thumbs up or down.

Stayed at the Split Rock lodge once - I won't do that again.

We're staying at the Best Western just down the street from Pocono ~$85 per night, IIRC... nice enough rooms.

We'll never stay at Split Rock again, either...

Blakeslee Inn has a lot of the club staying there.  $63 per night is the club rate. Nice clean facility with a very fancy resturant attached.  No breakfast but we always stop at WAWA down the street.

Just ask for the room that does not have the French Whore smoke odor cover-up air freshener. Asthma attacks for kids a plenty.

Best Western - Blakeslee.

Along with my son, David, who just made it off the waitlist!

That was my problem with it too. My allergies went nuts in that place and I couldn't stand the smell...
