Missing Radio Code? (01 BoxsterS)

Just replaced the battery in my Boxster and now the radio security system is prompting me to enter the 4 digit code provided with the owners manual, etc.

Problem is I bought the car used and after looking through all my documents the one thing I don't have is the card with the code.

I can try and reach out to the previous owner but wanted to see if anyone knew of a work-around for this?

It happened to us with one of our MBs and we called the dealer with the VIN and they were able to get us the code pretty easily.
