Big Grin As a Schattenbaum and RTR member I can't agree more that the Watkins Glenn DE was great. The effort expended by all involved to make it a well run event that is great fun is to be commended!

As a new Black driver I also commend all the past instructors I have had in this group as I believe they are the best I have had in all the different groups I run with.

I also must thank Bob Brooks for sending Nick Hatalski to me as my coach this year. When I was promoted to White last November I knew that if I did not get help I would be in White forever. With Nicks help we shaved 9.2 seconds of my best time at the Glen the first day. Could not have done it without him! Nick was the best (and least expensive) investment in my quest to be faster!

Looking forward to more RTR events this year and next!

I’d like to thank all of the volunteers who made our 2011 RTR WGI DE possible.
I’d also like to thank all of my students for the kind words they’ve posted on this forum. Your comments have made the tens of thousands of laps I spent in your passenger seats worthwhile.  Its your improved driving ability that fuels my passion for our program.

Thanks to Myles, Paul, Brian and Rick for another great DE at the Glen. I had a similar expierence as Mike Kling last year which was also my first year at the Glan. At the time I was running quite confortable in white and really looking forward to running the Glen. Unfortunately, my first day was a real downer. After running over 40 DEs on five different tracks over the past 4 years, I felt like I couldn't do anyting right. Brooks suggested I go back golf (what are friends for?). The next day I asked Nick Hatalski to take a ride with me...Nick took me back to basics and once I got confortable with the line and the forgot about the sky blue guard rails 6 inches off the track, I had a blast! Nick went out with me a couple of times again this year and we picked up right where we left off.

I've run with most of the area clubs but what sets RTR apart from other clubs is the organization, instruction (both class and track), run group management and the supportive enviorment. The best blend of saftey and lots of track fun.
