For anyone with a newer model car looking for technical service manuals, a well-written "how to" or decent YouTube video on a simple task, it can be difficult to achieve the instant gratification the Internet has spoiled us with.

After a couple hours researching a simple rotor replacement procedure, I came up with next to nothing. I did, finally, however find the Porsche Technical Service Information site... Not only does it contain all the dealer procedures, it also has PCNA training booklets for all Porsche vehicles.

To get the site:
- Go to porsche.com/usa
- Click 'Service and Accessories'
- Click 'Porsche Service'
- Click 'Technical Service Information'

You will then get the PIWIS TSI website and will have to sign up for a new account. Standard e-mail activation procedures apply.

It is not an intuitive site, so start by logging in and then click on 'General functions' and 'Order document access'. I'd recommend adding $10 initially, as most of the articles are priced at $1.80. Add more if you want the whole PCNA training guide for one of the sections--they run about 150 pages with lots of pictures--for example, 'Suspension Brakes and Alignment' will run you $16 and change.

Before finding any documents, you need to tell them what kind of Porsche you're looking for. You can do this by entering a VIN number or going through a series of steps to pick the year and type.

Anyhow, there may be better (and much cheaper) materials available from third-parties. For my purposes though, this site was a good fit and offered the instant gratification I needed.

Hope this helps someone else...
