Are the minimum dimensions for DE numbers specified somewhere? If not, is there some informal standard, e.g., 5"?
Thanks,
Larry

Just read the Zone 1 rules, they state a MINIMUM of 4" high.

Hi Larry, If you are going to participate in Zone 1 events, 4" numbers are fine. But Riesentoter requires 8" numbers on the side and a minimum of 5" numbers when used on the front or back.

Wally,
I appreciate the information. Where is that requirement stated? (I have absolutely no problem with it; I'm just curious.) Larry

The RTR DE Manual only state that numbers be visible from 200 feet away. Considering you are on a track at speed; 8" really works well for a corner worker to see.
That way everyone on the radio will KNOW who's getting the trophy and who's getting the blue flag. I hear it has a stripe on it too, but I'm not exactly sure... Me and the ole'44 don't see it that often hee-hee
