ATTENTION RIESENTOTER MEMBERS!  SUPPER TECH 2008 IS NEAR.[/b]

New members, long time members, DE, Auto Cross, Etc.. This is your opportunity to ask questions, share information and meet other people who push Porsche’s.

This year thanks to the efforts of Jeff Haas and Bill Dougherty, we will have Mike Levitas of Turbo Performance give a talk on suspensions. Mike is a PCA member who started out doing DE’s and now competes in the Rolex Series.  His talk will be geared to what modifications and adjustments you can make to your car to enhance handling.  His talk should be broad spectrum, from mild to wild. 

We will also have a tech demonstration for a DE, a safety talk by Steve Meenan, and the availability to talk to speed council. (Track chair, chief instructor, registrar and safety)

Something new for this year will have Mike Andrews hold a clinic for the ladies. He will be aided by Carol Reynolds and Virginia Carfrey (two of our more respected instructors) in handling what ever topic you like.  This will be LADIES ONLY.  You can assist us by emailing Mike or me with a specific topic you would like addressed.

All this will be happening on Saturday Feb. 23, at Dougherty Automotive. The  program will start promptly at 10:00 AM and continue until ?.

We will open with a demonstration of tech for a DE event followed by Mike Levitas at 10:30.

We will break at noon for a pizza lunch and pick up afterward with a Q&A period by Mike.  To conclude, Steve will give his safety talk followed by a general Q&A period with speed council.

Mike Andrews session will occur concurrently with Mike L’s talk during the 10:30 to noon period.

So come out and join us in making this a BIG success.

Paul is planning on teching cars for Zone 2. This will be a great Super Tech. Unfortunatly I have to go to the Zone Presidents Meeting in Springfield Va and will miss this event.

I have been asked and agreed to tech a couple of cars for the VIR event. These cars will be for the tech demonstration. If time permits I will tech addditional cars.
Steve Meenan will not be attending and I don't know if I will have the time to tech the additional cars. Contact me by pm and I'll see what I can arrange.

Man, I so want to go to this event. I am hoping that Mayback changes its mind on this thing they are doing to extend the warranty on its cars which will free me up to go. I have heard Mike Levitas on a couple of radio shows here in the D.C./Baltimore market but I think it would be so cool to hear him in person.

Mike is a great, great, GREAT guy. He helped me out with my JRZs at Summit and gave me a second based off of just a couple things I told him with a couple twists of the Bi-adjs. He is really something else and will be able to give some very valuable info...really with almost anything in the racing world...really great guy...

USA. Michael is one of the very very few pro drivers who is also a chassis
tuning engineer. This gives Michael a distinticve advantage of translating
his driving feedbacks directly and instantly into an approach for set up
changes. Michael is highly regarded by many pro racing teams and tire
manfacturers as he can indentify chassis behaviors and come up with
solution(s) for improvement in only an outlap. On a side note, Micheal had
either driven with and/or engineered for some of the best factory drivers
in the world like Randy Pobst, Mike Rockenfeller, Bill Adam, Bill
Auberlen, Darren Law, Andy Lally, John Morton, and more.

TPC Racing has been involved in professional motorsports since 1999. We have accumulated 26 professional wins, 42 professional podium finishes and multiple Championships. The contents of this seminar are held closely and regarded as a black art by professional race car engineers. TPC is pleased to pass this education to enthusiasts.

The basic seminar and literature is designed to help an average enthusiast understand the basics of chassis tuning. While we can write thousands of pages and use very technical terms, this is just an introduction so we kept it short and informative. A more in depth seminar and technical article will be available in the coming months.
